An oval plate that brings a different kind of proportion to the Korean table.
The oval form has always suited the Korean dining table — it fits between the bowls, extends beyond the square, gives the eye somewhere to move. This 초화 타원접시 (Chohwa Tawonjeopsi) from Tovy carries the Blue Flower Garden motif across a 23cm surface designed for presentation. Traditional Korean craft meets contemporary proportion: the length holds a full arrangement of Jeon, a main course, or a composed dessert without crowding. The Chohwa (초화) pattern, rooted in Joseon-era ceramic tradition, brings quiet visual rhythm to any setting.
Present haemul pajeon or Korean pancakes at a weekend gathering, or use it as a sharing plate at a dinner table where the arrangement is part of the meal. Holding fruit, cheese, or small bites, the oval length makes even casual hospitality feel considered.
Oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe — a plate built for the table and for the eye. Handcrafted in South Korea by Tovy.
