A compact Korean jewellery box in deep navy lacquer, its lid carrying cranes in flight beneath a full moon and pine, hand-inlaid in mother-of-pearl.

The crane is Korea's bird of longevity, said to live a thousand years, and the pine keeps its green through every winter: endurance itself. Under a full moon, the scene becomes a wish for a long life, brightly kept.

A silver-tone clasp closes it. Inside, a mirrored lid and red velvet compartments keep everyday pieces in order.

At 15cm it lives easily on a bedside table, a desk, a shelf. Give it for a milestone or keep it for the rings you reach for daily.
