Some objects carry their origins visibly — you recognise them immediately as coming from somewhere specific, made with a particular intention.
The Jeonju Chest Notebook is inspired by the Bandaji (반닫이) — a traditional Korean chest held in the National Jeonju Museum, known for its ornate metalwork and carved contours. The cover replicates the chest's brass fixture detailing in gold foil, and its curved lower edge follows the distinctive silhouette of the original furniture piece. Inside, 30 pages of 8mm-spaced lined paper provide a writing surface that respects its cultural wrapper — quiet, considered, and ready to receive whatever you bring to it.
Kept on a desk alongside your daily tools, the gold foil cover catches the light without demanding attention — a small distinction from ordinary stationery. Used as a travel journal, its compact size earns its place in a bag already full of considered objects. Given as a gift, it is recognised immediately as different from everything else on the shelf.
