Crimson and violet peonies bloom across this twin-cube Korean jewellery box, hand-cut from tinted mother-of-pearl and set among butterflies on a luminous ground. The butterfly clasp folds it open to four velvet drawers.

Known in Korea as the king of flowers, the peony stands for wealth, honour and a life in full bloom. With butterflies alighting between the petals, joy lands on abundance: the classic blessing for a marriage.

At 17cm wide, it brings colour to a dresser the way flowers do, without effort.
